Frequently Asked Questions

*Why Choose My Art Studio?

Dedicated to providing children with a high-quality art education, we have developed a curriculum that focuses on learning through creativity. The lessons we provide are set in a cosy and fun-filled environment that allows children to develop into confident and creative learners, expressive individuals with essential life skills. Our goal is to keep class sizes small so that each child can reach his or her highest artistic potential.

*How do I register for my trial class?

Follow these simple steps!
1.) You may click on the Book a Trial button located on our home page.

2.) If you would like to make a booking, drop us a WhatsApp or call us at 9636 6569, and we will schedule you into the specified time slot.
3.) Alternatively, you may walk-in our studio to arrange a trial with us and clear your queries if you have any.

*What are the class settings?

We keep our classes small (1 teacher to 6-8 students) to ensure that personal guidance is given to each student.  Students are strongly encouraged to attend regular lessons.  Programmes are personalized according to age and ability.

All classes will start on time and we encourage our students to be punctual to avoid missing out on lesson time.

For younger students that is not toilet trained yet, parents/guardians are required to change their child’s diapers before commencement of class to minimize disruption during the class and missing out on the lesson.

Diaper changing and disposal is strictly not allowed in the studio for hygiene purposes.

*Is it possible for me to remain in the classroom with my child?

All classes are drop-off classes, without parent accompaniment, to ensure students stay focused. This allows the student to adjust and adapt to his/her new environment, communicating with his/her peers and teachers. For children between 2.5-5 years old, we recommend you for a trial first to ensure he/she will be able to suit with the course.

Does my child draw/paint everything on his/her own?

Our objective is to teach, guide and inspire students during the course. Drawing, colouring, and painting are fully done by the students. At times, teachers need to show painting techniques, proportion of the objects or demo how to correct mistakes, in such instances, teacher may have to ‘touch’ the student’s painting to provide guidance. We also use dotted techniques to assist pre-schoolers to draw the correct shapes of the objects. We do not touch up students’ artwork just to beautify or assist in the completion.

If you have any queries on your child’s artwork, you can approach the teachers after the class or drop us a message in Whatsapp and we will get the teacher to get in touch with you.

What is the reason why my child cannot draw/paint well at home?

For the Creative (CA) program, the students are taught step by step instructions on the drawing and painting. They are reminded and guided by the teachers during the class. We assist in their handling of materials, provide them insights on the choice of colours and inspire their creativity. Not all young students can replicate the same standard of artwork independently at home. However, we strongly encourage the students to remember the learning objectives for each lesson.

Through time and practice, they will gain confidence to express themselves and create artworks based on the extensive themes and technical skills they received in the class.
